To better communicate backorders between Customers and Quartermasters, UAS has launched a Backorder Notification System. This will give your department complete insight on any backorders that may arise due to a manufacturer being out of stock on an item. Below is more info to help illustrate how this system works.
Customer Notification
Customers will receive a notification of any/all items that are on backorder as well as an expected arrival date that has been provided by the manufacturer. They have the option to keep the item on back order, or remove it from their order.
Quartermaster Notification
Quartermasters will receive a carbon copy notification of the same notification that is sent to all customers. If you have any additional questions at the time of receiving this notification, please reply directly to the email and CC the customer.
Backorder Fulfillment
Once UAS receives backordered goods, they are flagged as High Priority Items and our production team begins work to ensure the order is shipped out immediately. We understand that backorders can be frustrating and will continue to do our best to minimize these scenarios.
